Should I be loving it?
Everyone has eaten at a fast food place before. When we’re on the go it’s one of the most trusted things out there; in fact the average American eats it around twice a week. McDonalds is the leading competitor when it comes to fast food, making about 4 billion dollars over 12 months. But have you ever really put a thought into why they make that much money, or whether they even should?
McDonalds is good because it’s quick and still relatively cheap. When everyone else is raising prices it seems McDonalds still stays the same, thus making it more convenient to people who want to eat out but not spend more than a couple of dollars. A dollar menu still hangs on the walls there, which saves soccer moms and cranky business men across the country that just in and then get out.
There are quite a lot of down factors to McDonalds. For one it’s not that friendly when you walk in there. You are usually greeted by a wet floor sign even though it doesn’t seem to have been cleaned in weeks. As you order it seems harmless enough; cheap and inexpensive. When you get your food though, you question ever having actually ordering that. A vanilla milkshake that tastes like banana and a questionable piece of meat sit on your plastic tray. If you’re smart, at the point they give you your food it’s time to get out. Unless you can eat in three minutes before the family of eighteen kids comes in there, all speaking another language and complaining just when they get in there, you best not sit down. You could loose your life.
It’s only worth it to go to McDonalds when you have enough to time go through the drive-through. Each experience in the restaurant (the term is used loosely) is different; you could always end up worse off then in the above situation I described. It may be cheap but you see those 4 billion dollars they make don’t actually go into the maintaining of the restaurants. If it were me, I wouldn’t waste my time and I’d go to some other fast food place instead.
